- In-Place upgrading from SP21 to SP24 in CR4VS+CRRuntime64 scenario:
Due to the limitation of our installer, after in place upgrading from SP21 to SP22(CR4VS+CRRuntime64), CrystalDecisions.Data.AdoDotNetInterop.dll will be removed from below path:
C:Program Files (x86)SAP BusinessObjectsCrystal Reports for .NET Framework 4.0CommonSAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0win32_x86dotnet
The CrystalDecisions.Data.AdoDotNetInterop.dll is required to support UDT(User-Defined Types) of MS SQL Server for design time of Crystal Reports.
To make sure UDT is working, please use below workaround:
Crystal Report For .net Framework 4.0 X64 Download
Run Visual Studio Command Prompt(VS2010) or Developer Command Prompt, execute below command:
Crystal Report For Net Framework 4.0 X64 Downloadwnload
Regasm “C:Program Files (x86)SAP BusinessObjectsCrystal Reports for .NET Framework 4.0CommonSAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0win64_x64dotnetCrystalDecisions.Data.AdoDotNetInterop.dll”
PS: This limitation only happens to in-place upgrading from SP21 to SP22 in CR4VS+CRRuntime64 environment, and it only impacts designing report to use UDT in MS SQL Server.
